It becomes the worst combination with Apple. :(Derreckhttp://www.cabletiesandmore.com/BraidedSleeving.phpnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37798047.post-14773363389154773642012-06-14T11:17:20.794-04:002012-06-14T11:17:20.794-04:00I see we've encountered the same problems when...I see we've encountered the same problems when I just started using the Thunderbolt. Besides that, I haven't got any other problems so far. As long as you check the connections before using it, the result is good.Junior Williamshttp://www.littlefishsupport.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37798047.post-15116648702289037142012-06-14T10:35:27.990-04:002012-06-14T10:35:27.990-04:00I have 2 Thunderbolt displays chained together to ...I have 2 Thunderbolt displays chained together to my MBP and they work great... for the most part.

When I originally bought the first one, I was planning on connecting my old cinema display using the Displayport adapter. But that didn't work and Apple geniuses (ZOMG don't get me started) said it can't work. So when I asked why, they had no clue.

I've grown accustom to having 2 external displays for my desk so I eventually purchased another Thunderbolt display and then it turns out because of the placement of the connector on the back and the length of the cable of the displays, I can't set my laptop in between the 2 displays as their cables won't reach to the other display. So I bought a Thunderbolt extension cable but that was a total #FAIL. So now I have a setup that I don't prefer as I like to keep my laptop display as the primary.

But I still love the crisp image of the displays. I've looked at a lot of other high end monitors and nothing really compares.

If you have one connected to a laptop, it will probably be all that you need. But LORT help you if you want to do something outside of Apple's small ideas about how to use a device or system. I think this is a very indicative of a deep rooted problem within Apple in general. Thunderbolt is amazing tech but when it's hamstringed by Apple's shortsightedness, it just doesn't live up to the hype.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
